Standing in SturrocksStanding in Sturrocks
makes me feel like I’m standing on the deck of one of the twelve tall
ships that sailed into Sydney’s Harbour more than two hundred years ago.
The Mosman store window is framed by boat ropes and the change-rooms are fashioned from Sydney sailcloth; something close to our hearts with our reusable luggage tags made of the same sailcloth. The Rocks Push beach shorts hang in the window above the row of leather deck shoes, both are selling like hot cakes. With a small obsession for functional kit, the waterproof Ortlieb bags in Sturrocks make the dive from the boat and short swim to the beach with lunch in a bag, a real possibility. |
