PRACTISING MINDFULNESS IN INDIA AND WELCOMING THE SUN IN THE ROCKS PUSH

September 19, 2014

It’s a really busy world. You make breakfast and rush out the door, perhaps while keeping one eye on the kids and another on your smartphone or computer. You plan your day while listening to music and commuting to work. In the rush to accomplish all these tasks, you might suddenly lose the connection with the present and miss out on what you’re doing and how you feel. Did you feel present on your way to work this morning?Mindfulness involves meditation and a conscious direction of our awareness. Deliberately pay attention to your thoughts and sensations without any judgement. No better time to wear The Rocks Push shorts than when you’re practising mindfulness. Jared Pohl, who runs a funds management business in Australia, sent us these shots this morning from a 5am bathing session on the Ganga river in India. The time is referred to as Brahma Mahurta – or the hour of god. A lot of rituals are done at this time to welcome the sun. Pretty special. Time to meditate!
